ACADEMY CURVED 25°
CURVES 7.5′′ – 30° – They have a curvature designed to be able to work on both small and large subjects. Thanks to the narrow blade, they are definitely very light and handy. The curvature of the blade is 30°, an angle that allows you to cut with speed the curved surfaces of all the roundness of the body: rib, buttocks, hocks and head of dogs of all sizes. – Size 7.5′′
HOW TO TAKE CARE OF SCISSORS
CLEANING THE SCISSORS
Regular cleaning helps keep the blades sharp for longer. The blades should be cleaned after each cut and oiled frequently. We recommend using a soft cloth for daily cleaning of the scissors. When the blades of the scissors are covered with hair, moisture, and chemicals, corrosion can occur (yes, even stainless steel can corrode!). Sprays, conditioners in general, lacquers, antistatic agents, or hair contaminated with these substances leave a chemical film on the blades, which can dull them and compromise the quality of the cut.
LUBRICATION OF SCISSOR BLADES
The blades of the scissors must be oiled at the end of each day. A light film of oil on the edge of the blades protects the scissors, helping to keep moisture away and keeping the blades smoother when moving. Only use oil specifically designed for lubricating scissors! The oil stick dispenser is provided free of charge and allows for optimal lubrication. Apply a drop of oil to the pivot/screw area and brush along the inner edge of each blade.
ADJUSTING THE SCISSORS
After lubricating the scissors, adjust them if the blades are too tight or too loose (we recommend checking them daily). As a general rule, the scissors are correctly adjusted when, holding them with the blades closed in a horizontal position with your thumb pointing downwards, you remove your thumb from the ring and the scissors remain closed. With the slightest movement of your hand, the blade controlled by your thumb opens. Conversely, if the blades do not open, it means that the screw is too tight and needs to be loosened just enough to achieve the result described above. Be careful not to tighten or loosen the screw too much, as this could damage the sharpness of the scissors during use. Adjustment with the Ball Bearing screw is much safer, because with one click,
the system automatically helps to prevent mistakes.
