TEFLON RIDE
The double TEFLON RIDE substantially reduces friction between the blades, allowing effortless cuts for the groomer and significantly reducing hand stress and fatigue. The reduced friction between the blades prevents metal wear, prolonging the scissors’ lifetime. While Teflon is a very durable material, it can wear out over time, as it is placed right in the middle of the circular ride. However, it can be replaced by Akko Scissors’ trusted partner technicians if need be. Replacing worn Teflon rides will extend the life of the instrument, making the scissors “as good as new”. Without the Teflon ride, the scissors would have to be thrown away once the metal has worn out.
