Akko carding knives, also known as “palettes,” do not damage or break the coat. They are used to thin the dog’s coat, removing excess fluff or undercoat. They should be used close to the skin. Excellent for Spaniels, to make the coat lie flat. Also ideal for dogs with a hard coat at the end of a Hand-Stripping session and for thinning the undercoat on double-coated breeds. They can also remove dead hair on short-haired breeds. The blades are made of hardened stainless steel and the handle is made of fine wood.

CARDING FINE: 37 extra-fine teeth for Carding moderate amounts of hair.

CARDING MEDIUM: 29 medium teeth for Carding large amounts of coat.
